If i pay of a few credit cards my score will increase subtantially,
my question is lets say today the credit card company reports
my zero balances, to the 3 credit berous, dose my score jumps instantly or same day? of them receiving the report?
or it takes few days weeks? months until the credit berous main frame computers or credit file crawlers register the change and asign the new score?
soo anybody knows? the exact or aproximate times?
I think the most important way to raise a score is to pay "as agreed", which means on time. The ratio of credit available to you vs what you owe is a factor but even if you have zero balances, I believe it takes a while for the credit bureaus to adjust the score
I just opened a business and I am wanting to build up my business credit. I am wanting to see which companies report to Dunn & Bradstreet? If anyone has a list or any ideas on which companies do, I would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Business credit doesn’t work like individual consumer credit.
You have to submit paperwork on your business to D&B, including profit and loss statement.
You build up your business credit by opening accounts with suppliers. You may have to start with COD at first.
I have a secured credit card that I have been paying for about two months now and it is valid for one year, do you think that I might need to get another secured credit after my existing account ends before I can qualify for an unsecured credit card?
When you first open any type of credit, your score will dip for about 6 months and then will go higher than it was. If you have the secured credit card because you had no credit, after 6 months it is possible to get a secured card but after 12months, you really should be able to. Just handle it well. If you want to double the effect, get another secured card now..
The situation seems a little unfair to me. I find myself trying to find a decent job that will pay me enough to meet my monthly obligations and make some headway in cleaning up my credit. The problem is that those jobs tend to disqualify applicants with bad credit. I’m not sure what to do about it. Can anyone offer any advice?
There are plenty of jobs out there that aren’t determined by your credit score, but it can play a factor. If you are denied for that reason, prepare a written or oral statement that explains why your credit is poor and what measures you taking to improve it.
If you’re curious how to rebuild your bad credit, take a look at the link attached. You don’t need to pay any money to fix your credit. It just takes time, work, responsibility and dedication.
Let’s say I buy something for $100. I return it and they say I will have that credit back on my credit card. So now my credit card balance is $100? What if I paid for that $100 already and then returned it and got credit back? Can a credit card have a balance and have money withdrawn from it?
Yes. The retailer will credit back the $100 onto your account. If you already paid it, you’ll have a postive balance.
